It Takes
a Village.
This Is Ours.

This summer, our community comes together to create something new. The first Atelius Expedition — six weeks where Explorers discover what they're capable of, guided by mentors from within our own community.

We've been talking about what learning could be. Now we're building it. Together.

The Expedition

Every session is a six-week Expedition: explore, build, share.

At Atelius, we work in 6-week sessions. Each session is a complete learning journey—long enough to build something meaningful, short enough to stay focused and motivated.

Week 1

Explore

Arrive with a question, an idea, or just a spark of curiosity. Spend the week exploring what excites you, shaping your idea, and developing a project with your Guide. By the end of the week, you know what you're building.

Weeks 2-5

Build

Go deep on your project. Work through challenges with Guides and fellow Explorers. Journal your progress. Iterate. Keep going.

Week 6

Share

Present what you made to family and community. Reflect on the journey. Celebrate. By the end, every Explorer walks away with something they built — and the story of how they built it.

A Typical Day

Three hours. No lectures. Here's how it flows:

Circle up

Gather together. Share what you're working on. Ask for help. Offer ideas.

Your Map

How do you know what an Explorer learned?

Not from a test score. Not from a grade. From the work itself.

At the end of each Expedition, every Explorer has their Map:

  • The project they built
  • Their learning journal
  • Photos and videos of the process
  • Their own reflection on what they learned

This is proof of learning that actually means something — to them, to you, and to anyone they choose to share it with.

Your Map grows with every Expedition. A living record of who you're becoming.

Who Makes This Happen

Guides — parents, professionals, makers, educators — volunteering their time and expertise to mentor the next generation.

Families — contributing what they can so this remains accessible to all.

The Abhyankar Foundation — providing spaces, tools, and operational support. In the US, the Foundation runs the program as a nonprofit. Fees cover costs only. No one profits.

Limited scholarships available — because a child's curiosity shouldn't depend on what their family can afford.

Common Questions

That's what Week 1 is for.

It's play with purpose — real skills through real making.

Yes — through building, not memorizing.

Both thrive here. There's no single mold.

Camps entertain. Atelius empowers.

A project they built and their Map - proof of what they learned.

This Is Just the
Beginning

Summer 2026 is our first Expedition. Purpose over performance. Curiosity over compliance. Collaboration over competition. That's what we're building.

Join as a family. Volunteer as a Guide. Spread the word. Or simply follow along as we learn and grow.

Every community starts somewhere. This is where ours begins.
